About Us
We’re Jim Thomas and Laurie Cuevas, and we own and operate Thomas Farm & Dairy. Located in beautiful Sunderland, Massachusetts, we specialize in raising Nubian Goats, and produce award-winning chevre cheese with their milk.
In addition to our farmstead cheeses, we have a range of farm fresh products available including a full line of seasonal native vegetables, vegetable starts, hanging plants, fresh eggs, and more - and it’s all available to you daily at our roadside farm stand.
Whether it’s caring for our happy goats, cows, and hens, harvesting bushels of seasonal produce from our rolling fields, or crafting delicious cheeses, we put love, care, and pride into all we are doing on this land. We hope you find that these values shine through in our products, and welcome you to visit our farm stand and see the joy we find in each day for yourself.
Our Animals
The Goats
Our Nubian Goats are our pride and joy here at Thomas Farm & Dairy. Over 100 goats call the farm home, and we milk them twice daily to produce our Chevre Cheese. Spring is our favorite time on the farm, when many adorable, playful baby goats are born! If you are considering adding Nubian goats to your herd or family, please contact us. We sell our beautiful, healthy kids to loving homes every year!
The Cows
In addition to our goats, we raise a small herd of Brown Swiss and Jersey cows. They are pastured and spend warm summer days lounging in the shade. We milk these girls to produce our farmstead cheeses, and many of our cows have been shown at the Big E and are recognized for their excellence.
The Hens
There’s nothing like farm fresh eggs for breakfast - and our hens know how to produce! Each day we stock our Farm Stand with eggs from our many free-range hens.
Sydney
You can always find our loyal farm dog Sydney close by our sides, helping with chores the best she can and maybe looking for a cucumber or yellow bean to snack on. Sydney takes her job of keeping close watch over the kids and calves very seriously, and loves them as if they were her own pups.
